The Wonderful Voices Choir –the Remnants

The Wonderful Voices Choir (WVC) – The Remnants – is a UK-based gospel choir formed by members of the Malawian Adventists Community in the United Kingdom (MAU), many of whom were formerly members of the renowned Malamulo Hospital Choir in Malawi. Over the years, these individuals relocated to the United Kingdom for a variety of reasons, including higher education, professional development, employment opportunities, family reunification, and the pursuit of broader life opportunities. Although separated by distance from their homeland, they remained united by their shared Christian faith, love of gospel music, and commitment to the music ministry.

The birth of MAU saw the corresponding birth of WVC. As the Malawian Adventist community in the UK continued to grow, MAU was established to provide a platform for spiritual fellowship, mutual support, and the preservation of shared faith and cultural identity. Within this environment, former Malamulo Hospital Choir members recognised the opportunity to continue the rich musical heritage they had enjoyed in Malawi. This vision gave birth to The Wonderful Voices Choir (WVC) – The Remnants, a ministry dedicated to proclaiming the gospel through sacred music, encouraging believers, mentoring young musicians, and supporting evangelistic outreach. Today, the choir continues to uphold a tradition of musical excellence, inspiring congregations across the United Kingdom while celebrating its Malawian roots and advancing the mission of the Seventh-day Adventist Church.
